Seviyn Strong Heterotaxy Awareness Walk
Mark your calendars and walk with us for awareness, education, and hope.
Join Doulah Me After Care (DMAC) for the Seviyn Strong Heterotaxy Awareness Walk, a community event dedicated to closing the gap in awareness and support for families impacted by heterotaxy.
-
We walk to bring visibility to a rare and often misunderstood condition.
Heterotaxy affects the arrangement of internal organs and can lead to complex medical challenges. Many families — especially mothers — are left navigating diagnoses, care, and advocacy without adequate guidance or support.
This walk brings together education, connection, and community for families who have felt unheard.
We walk for Sevyn, who continues to beat the odds.
We walk in remembrance of the children whose lives and legacies push us to fight for better understanding and support. -
Heterotaxy is rare — but the families affected are not.
Too many caregivers are left to advocate alone, without access to resources, education, or community support. The Sevyn Strong Walk exists to change that by:
Raising awareness and education around heterotaxy
Creating space for families to connect and feel seen
Supporting advocacy efforts for children and mothers
Honoring warrior children and their journeys
Your support helps ensure families are not walking this road alone.

Many families walk in honor of a child who continues to fight — or in remembrance of a child whose life inspires advocacy and change.
Sponsors and donors may choose to recognize a loved one on the Heart Heroes Honor Wall and through tribute ribbons during the walk.
“At one point, Sevyn was placed on ECMO — a machine that pulled her blood from her body, filtered it, and returned it back. A machine that could have caused more harm than help. She also had a machine pumping her heart for her.”
